When children are living without the care and safety of a family, most at risk of violence, abuse or exploitation, we protect them with crisis care and support.
Irina's story
Irina is supported by EveryChild to look after Cleopatra, Mariana, Alexei and Ovidiu as a long-term foster carer. She also has two children of her own. The children’s mother left Moldova when Cleopatra, the eldest, was only five to go and find work abroad. She never returned and has not fulfilled her promise to send money back to support her children. Irina knew the children and was afraid they would end up in institutional care. With support by EveryChild-trained social workers, Irina became a foster carer and has provided the children with a loving family home.
